Above is an Itajime piece folded and ready for dyeing.
After applying the dyes, I put in a plastic bag for a half hour.
Finished piece - still needs ironing, but this lets you see the fold lines

I love the way the colors migrated into each other creating lovely nuances of patterns.
I love the scarf! Did you apply the medium with paint brush on that one, or drizzle? It really did blend beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThank you Judy! I used Pipettes to apply the dye. I find that using them gives me more control with placement and amount.
ReplyDeleteI use an eyedropper frequently when I dye scarves, for the same reason. Very nice!
