Yesterday I made three more face masks for family members
just in case they find themselves in a crowd
and are unable to distance themselves from others.
I used the Sewing Scientist pattern.
There is a link to the pattern on yesterday's blog post.

We're on the same page, Jeanne! I have a slightly different pattern, but made my first one yesterday and have fabric ready to make more today. I have friends who are nurses, and one has a whole group of stitchers who are making masks for our local hospital, and a couple others work at remote medical centers near the Navajo/Hopi reservations, and they don't have a lot of supplies, so my focus right now is on helping them. It is a great way to use up fabric stash, and hopefully do something to help out while new masks are being manufactured. Happy sewing!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you are making masks to help out with the shortage. Keep up the good work and stay healthy!
