Early Spring Flowers

I didn't get a chance to post this weekend due to being under the weather with a bad cold/cough for over a week now.  I did get outside to enjoy my beautifully blooming flowers for a few minutes in between blowing my nose and cups of hot tea.

 

This is one of many irises from a friend of mine who passed away some years ago. The irises she gave me bloom every year on her birthday and day she died. Uncanny, but wonderful.

 Not sure of what the names of this succulent is, but just love the greens in it

 and how it captured the light.
